I am loving Crochet!
As you will notice, all two posts I’ve done this year have been about crocheting… I know I said I’d do one about my books—and I will—but until then, I want to share my latest project with you…
Can you guess what it is?…
I bought this kit at Costco about a months ago, which is why I really wanted to take up this terribly addictive hobby. The kit came with the yarn to make two figures, and out of the two, Captain America was the one I liked, so, I started with him…
One thing I struggle with in crocheting is the concentration, which I think I mentioned in my last post. When I was making his legs, I lost count on the SC a couple of times, which is why the one is a little bit fatter than the other.. though, I’m not sure if the one is small because I left something out, or if the other one is bigger because I added something…
Always helps to wear a smile.
The pattern in the book calls for his helmet instead of his hair, but I wanted him to have his hair. I just used the pattern for Hawkeye’s hair and it worked just fine. I think I’ll still make Cap’s helmet someday, but first things first I need to make his shield. . .
Cap: “I thought you were dead!” , Bucky: “I thought you were smaller…”
