Springtime in GA: Part II

In my last post, I promised that as soon as our other rose bush bloomed I’d share a picture with you.  Well, here it is!

If you are wondering what the name of the rose is, it is an ‘Our Lady of Guadalupe’ rose bush.

P.S. The yellow rose is looking even prettier now!

He was so enchanted by the beauty, he did not even notice that Delman had entered the garden until he spoke to him:  “It use to bloom all winter long,” Delman said of the yellow roses. “But long ago, something caused it to stop blooming in the winter, and now, it barley makes it through the spring…Someday it shall bloom again” … …

“Master Delman?” Elwood called. “Does you really think they’ll bloom again?”

“I have hopes,” he replied.

Elwood smiled and thought of the beauty the yellow roses would bring to the garden. “I wish I could see ‘em in bloom,” he said to Delman.

“Perhaps you will, lad.”

Delman departed from Elwood and went back to the party.

(P.P.S. That is a quote from the novel I’m working on.)
